MONOSOL AND UNION REACH NEW FOUR-YEAR AGREEMENT

MERRILLVILLE, Ind., December 28, 2022 – MonoSol announced today that employees have ratified the new collective bargaining agreement at its LaPorte manufacturing plant. The agreement covers 192 employees represented by Teamsters Local 135.

The new four-year agreement with Teamsters Local 135 furthers MonoSol’s track record of industry-leading pay and benefits, including a $6,000 signing bonus, generous pay increase and the guarantee of no mandatory overtime for 2 years, with the opportunity to extend to a third and fourth year if certain criteria are met. The agreement also includes enhancements to other benefits and the opportunity to earn financial incentives for attendance and voluntary overtime.

“We are pleased that we have reached an agreement and now begin the process of welcoming our employees back to work,” said MonoSol Vice President Matthew Vander Laan. “We look forward to continuing the employee brainstorming sessions that began this past summer to reset the dialogue, strengthen our relationships and build trust consistent with our shared mission, vision and values.”

Employees will begin returning to work on January 3 and receive holiday pay for both Christmas and New Year’s.
