Transfer Printing
MonoSol water-soluble film is ideal for Immersion Transfer printing, a unique processing technique for package decoration.

Immersion Transfer printing creates a decorated package using MonoSol Water Soluble film, which has been preprinted with a desired pattern. The film is coated with a proprietary activator to wet the inks and then floated on a tank of water. The film absorbs water, becomes flexible, and the item to be decorated is passed through the surface of the film. Because the pattern is essentially floating on water, the pattern molds to every surface of the package shape, and even complex angles, rolled edges, or sharp curves are decorated with the desired pattern. The decorated package is then rinsed in hot water and oven dried.

Transfer printing is applicable for a wide variety of packaging materials, including glass, plastic, ceramic, and wood. The process can also be used to decorate a vast array of products, such as car interiors, computers, household appliances, toys, eyeglasses, furniture, telephones, and sporting goods.
Embroidery

MonoSol film is perfect for embroidery applications that require a topping to prevent stitches from getting lost in knitwear garments. Another advantage is that the film allows complex designs to be seen in much greater detail.
