MONOPOL™ PELLETS - SOLUBLE MOLDING COMPOUNDS
MonoPol™ is a one of a kind, water-soluble polymer manufactured in pellet form for your company’s thermoplastic-injection molding, blow-molding, rotational-molding, rot- molding, extrusion, and thermal-forming needs.
MonoPol™ pellets can be formulated to different performance characteristics from cold water-soluble (as low as 5C) to hot water-soluble (as high as 80C) and two different degrees of stiffness and colors, and can be blended with other polymers. This wide range of formulation variations allows MonoPol™ to accommodate both existing molded products and new product opportunities.
MonoPol™ pellets have been used to make caplets for animal medicine, single use medical instruments, and specialty packaging systems such as Crystalair® from ADE, Inc www.ade-usa.com. It is used for ‘lost core’ applications, fusion deposition molding (FDM), rapid prototyping, and temporary/dissolvable spacers. MonoPol™ pellets have excellent gas barrier properties, unique surface texture, biodegradability, anti-static properties, and water-solubility. It is easily integrated into your existing manufacturing process as it is compatible with most existing equipment and is the first and only material found in the Moldflow database.
In just one day, Americans throw away 150,000 tons of packaging material. This would fill 10,000 tractor-trailer trucks, which would stretch 120 miles end to end (Source: Garbage magazine). MonoSol’s water soluble film has been integrated into packaging materials to help reduce this astonishing number.
