MonoSol M-1030 is now engineered to be flexible and formable in vacuum bagging applications. Unlike stiff films such as nylon, MonoSol film stretches and conforms to the mold without pleats. Making pleats requires extra labor and can lead to film bridging, creating voids in the laminate structure. With fewer pleats, MonoSol films will improve the quality of your composite parts at a lower cost. Our films also have excellent release characteristics and help the environment by being resistant to styrene permeability.

MonoSol M-1030 pressure tape will produce quality composites with a controlled gloss finish and excellent laminate consolidation during mandrel curing operations. With both high strength and the ability to stretch around complex shapes and curves, this film is ideal for applications such as silicone flexible hoses and golf shafts. M-1030 is resistant to most thermoset polymer systems and exhibits excellent release after curing.

MonoSol M-2000 is a non-plasticized version of polyvinyl alcohol designed specifically for continuous molding and compounding operations. The high strength of this film prevents web breaks during processing. With excellent styrene barrier characteristics, M-2000 is an ideal choice as a carrier film for the production of Sheet Molding Compound (SMC) and artificial marble.
